Hello My Fellow Sentient Beings,
I wish that I really was considered to be one of you all, and my well being and health were actually taken into consideration by the 'POWERS THAT BE,' when they make decisions concerning my life! You all have been told by the Dr. Actons, Gov. Dewines, the ODRC Dir. Annette Chambers-Smiths, that we, prisoners are getting 6' in between our beds! They are telling you that we're being made to 'social distance' here in MCI. Hey that's what they're being told by the powers that be, and talking heads, here at the institution! That's gonna be their excuse after this comes out.
Well, let me give you the REALLY REAL, about Marion 'Contaminated' Institution. In our dorms were the following memos, from the warden, stating that they're implementing a plan to social distance in the dorms, only. Cell blocks get no thought because for real the only way to do it is to RELEASE half of us so we can get single man cells, like this institution was built for! Here's a cut & paste of a couple of those memos:

Dear MCI Residents,
You will be seeing some physical movement of beds within the dormitories and at the camp. This is to accomplish social distancing. We need to socially distance head-to-head six feet apart in all the dormitory style housing. The need to increase physical space between beds is going to cause double bunking throughout the institution.
There is no date to open visiting. However, there is a statewide group that will be making recommendations on the process and procedures that will be in place when visiting reopens. Then MCI can make plans.
As a reminder, your best defense against the Covid-19 virus is frequent and proper hand washing. Wash your hands often and for at least 20 seconds each time. Social distancing is still important. Especially at meal pick up times, please keep 6 feet of distance between you and the next man. Visual reminders were placed on the floor for easy reference.
Be sure to clean high traffic areas like door handles, chairs, tables, and telephones in the living areas frequently. Sanitize your space at least twice a day. Cleanliness is everyone's responsibility! I will keep you updated as information becomes available.
Sincerely,
Lyneal Wainwright
Warden

Dear MCI Residents,
The beds are now spaced six feet apart on center in the upstairs dormitories. Bed spacing in the downstairs dormitories will start next week.....
Now as the second memo states, "spaced six feet on center." Now when you first hear about 6' spacing of beds, you'd think that there would be 6' of space in between each, right! WRONG! That little play on words, "on center," means that they measured 6' from the center of one bed to the center of the next and they're placed side by side. This means that in all actuality there is only 36" - 48" of unencumbered space, between each bed. Now when we sit on our racks sideways and talk to our neighbor, like we're mandated to do at least 3 times a day for count, there's only a foot between each other. Hmmm but if you listen to their words they make it sound so pretty, but I wish you could see the reality we live in. So please believe none of what you hear from the "talking heads" on t.v., cause their words don't match the reality! BTW they have double bunked EVERY SINGLE RACK in this institution. There were a lot of single man racks, as an incentive, but for some reason, the definition of social distancing, to the powers that be, meant to double down on the bunk beds and bring in more inmates from the reception center, to a prison already 30% over max capacity already! Go figure.
