Being in prison has awakened me to the seriousness of all the wrong choices that I've made in my life, the possible reasons why I have made some of those choices, and being faced with the reality of the possible consequences.
As you read this, I would humbly request that you find and read this book: 'The Boy Who Was Raised As A Dog', by Bruce D. Perry, M. D., PhD, and Maia Szalavitz.
If by some slim chance we may have caught some evening news, and a weather report informed us that an F-5 tornado had been sighted, and was possibly heading in our direction, would we not begin to secure our safety, listening intently for the tornado horn to sound an alarm? Would we not want to be warned if impending danger were heading our way?
Here is another familiar scenario: You are at home with your family, and you are all in your beds asleep. I am driving by your house and I see that your house is on fire. What kind of person would I be, if I did not stop to help in some way, to make sure that you and your family are awake and you will all be brought to safety?
There is a quote: "If you want to learn about the dangers of fire, ask an acute burn victim", anonymous.
The corruption and chaos we are seeing in the world, in our government, and in society as well, I believe is: In our ambition to be politically correct, regard for moral and natural law, and family values has literally been demonized. History confirms that 'dysfunctional behavior leads to criminal behavior, and those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it. Crime prevention ultimately starts in the crib.
One of the natural laws that we mock at is called 'cause and effect', we reap what we sow. In a sense, I am an acute burn victim. I ignored the fact that if you play with fire, you are going to get burned. Showing contempt for moral and natural laws, and family values is playing with fire. It is destroying our world, it is mentally molesting our children, sacrificing them to gods of prosperity, convenience, and pleasure, and it is destroying lives and families.
The legacy that I would like to leave is that I cared enough for others to encourage them to make choices with regard for moral and natural laws, and family values, and I loved them enough to warn them of impending danger.
