hello class. today we will examine the higher form of patriotism on exhibition by the fine correctional staff at marion. due to graphic content....viewer discretion is advised:-) politicians and administrators rely on the convenient labeling of the majority of the incarcerated at marion as asymptomatic, however, this is inaccurate. allow me to explain using this illustration. 1) group A was tested on 4-16-2020 (majority of the prison). 2) 4-19-2020 the institution started relocating residents from group A to designated "safe zones" because their test results were negative, making group B. 3) to figure out the exact number of group B subtract confirmed positive cases as of 4-22-2020 according to ODRC website from group A (MCI population). 4) group C are the individuals who's test results came back inconclusive. this is important because if an individual is classified in group C they were not relocated, rather, they were left exactly where they were in the midst of group A scattered throughout different cohorts. 5) group B is roughly 300 or so. the issue here is the amount of time between testing and relocation and the lack a coordinated response. it took five days in total for the administration to remove the "not" sick from the "sick" into separate "safe zone" cohorts. 6) members of group A were responsible for preparing and delivering food to each "cohort" before testing commenced on 4-16-2020, not staff. once the food was delivered to the cohort, the staff would then handle the food and allocate it to each resident and move on to the next cohort until the meal was passed out to the entire institution. 7) after 4-21-2020, only members of group B were used to distribute food, provide assistance in laundry services, commissary, and other duties. 8) on 4-29-2020 group B and C was re-tested in their respective living areas. today, 5-04-2020 they received their test results. in my cohort seven came back negative and one positive.

I have an idea. let's wait a month after a confirmed case of covid-19 is carried into Marion correction by staff to test everyone (group A). next, let's sequester group B from the "infected" because there is no way group B could have contracted covid-19 during the time taken to relocate group B from group A. group C is then created in this scenario, left in their respective cohorts, with no notification of test results. then, we'll wait thirteen days to re-test group B and C on 4-29-2020.

may 4, 2020 jpay announcement from the warden reads in part:

"it has been determined by the medical director that each resident will remain quarantined in there current unit. the nurses will do an assessment on each resident to determine if you have recovered or if you have symptoms. medical passed out the last of the test results today".

it is established that one of group C that is currently located in my cohort tested positive for covid-19 and seven confirmed negative, as of may 4, 2020. after a careful reading of the current message from the warden, one can conclude that the response from the test results from group B and C shows a lack of leadership, coordination, and humanity.

a decision was made to leave groups of people that tested negative with large groups of people that are suffering from various stages of covid-19. in my living area, as of may 5, 2020, there are 128 souls. seven of them tested negative for covid. is this deliberate indifference? how can this be justified medically? furthermore, my curiosity leads me to wonder about the results from group B. if I was a gambling man, I would be willing to wager that because of the ineptitude of staff most of group B are suffering from covid-19, hence the jpay message that clearly states no one is being relocated and to hunker down and deal with it!

Robin Williams would appreciate the irony!
