April 30, 2020: Gratitude for all of your well wishes

Gratitude to you, Elise, Kathryn, Jessie, Anthony and all of the staff, students and faculty, for all of your well wishes and heart felt words! Being in prison is a beast to deal with without covid-19 making it even worse on every level. Men have died while sleeping right beside us. They walk down the aisle and literally fall straight out as if they've been shot dead! You go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and a man is lain out on the floor, facedown under a urinal. This is a few scenes that I've been a witness to and after having this virus twice I really start to question my mortality! All my children who heard that I tested positive and their fears hurt me even more. I say all that to say that you really don't know how meaningful all of your encouragement is to me personally! I have taken classes with you all and I know you all truly have our best interests at heart so I can put my trust into your encouragement! Thank you for real! Thank you! I am also praying for all of you as I pray for my own families' health and wellness during these trying times! I never would have thought I'd see anything like this during my lifetime but the positive that I hear about from individuals out there is really inspiring and I hope that once this is over most of this newfound "Positivity From Humanity," sticks around from here on out!
