It is hard to know exactly what to feel in times like this because feelings change so rapidly. It is encouraging to know that people actually do care and that they recognize the intangible realities like redemptive potential are real. There are so many people that want to forget about those who are incarcerated and just want to throw us in the trash. But there are so many people that do not want to throw us in the trash and continue, despite being called names, to recognize our humanity. That creates hope in this place. Hope doesn't have everything figured out, but it simply recognizes that there is more than this. Hope of redemption. I could go on and on so I will close this with thank you for caring and recognizing our humanity.
